No Strings Attached on Valentine’s Day
Last night I, along with what seemed like every other couple in Auckland, went to see the latest rom-com out at the movies, No Strings Attached, for Valentine’s Day.

Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman took us on a tale of sex, love and donuts with some messy just-out-of-bed hair and cute makeup in between. Natalie plays a recently graduated doctor working 80 hours a week who just wants someone who’ll “be in my bed at 2am that I don’t have to have breakfast with.” While Ashton plays a cute television assistant who lives in the shadow of his famous father who likes to date his ex-girlfriends.
The two share a sizzling on screen chemistry as they agree to have a no strings attached relationship until one person begins to have feelings for the other… and that’s all you’re getting out of me! Go see it- the one liners are hilarious… your partner will even love it (or at least find it funny).
Several times during the movie I caught myself just watching how gorgeous Natalie Portman is, nothing my date needed to be worried about, but she is really beautiful. At one point I told myself to make a mental note to report back to Beauty Goss how cool the makeup was in one particular bed room scene. Look out for it when you watch the movie!
It was a silver eye shadow that blended into a deep blue which outlined the V of the outer corner of the eye. The silver started in the inner corner of the lid (which is great because it makes your eyes POP) and worked out to about two thirds of the way across the lid. And then a very defined, but subtle, dark blue eye shadow made a sideways V on the outer eye lid starting along the lash line and then going up across the eyelid crease. A light blue then worked its way to meet the silver and was blended in nicely. With a flick of mascara this look was very pretty in an -I’m a very busy person but wanted to go to a little effort- kind of way.
Have you seen No Strings Attached?
What did you think?
What about Black Swan? I still really want to see Natalie in this movie too!

I really loved Natalie Portman in Black Swan. She looked like a true ballerina! The story was gripping but beautifully shot. Makes you realise just how fragile the mind is…
