Max Azria with Maybelline New York
The trend…
Max Azria found inspiration for his Fall collection from the 1920s and ’30s as well as a little from the 1960s and ’70s. Maybelline New York’s Charlotte Willer created a look that would fit the mixture of decades by applying minimal makeup that had flawless skin, strong brows and a pearl lip. She said she added a touch of modern glamour by using gold eye shadow on the eye lips to make them stand out against the otherwise more natural look.
The look…
The tools…
- Maybelline New York Dream Smooth Compact Foundation- create smooth, even texture with this foundation to leave a silky-like feel to your skin.
- Maybelline New York Expert Wear Blush- Lightly apply blush to the apple of your check.
- Maybelline New York Eye Studio Silk Glam Quad Shadows Give Me Gold- Start with the darkest shade of brown and apply underneath the eye. Next with a medium brown, apply in the crease and corner of the eye lid. Using the lightest shade, ideally gold, pat the eye shadow onto the middle of your eye lid with your makeup brush. This gives a nice golden highlight to the look.
- Maybelline New York Line Express Eyeliner- Apply eyeliner thinly and lightly to the bottom lash line. But only if your need to add depth to the dark brown eye shadow.
- Maybelline New York Express ‘The Collosal’ Mascara- Apply one coat of mascara. This look does not have heavy mascara.
- Maybelline New York Color Sensational Creme Gloss- Apply a pearl coloured gloss to the lips to create a natural look.
TIP: strong brows feature in this look. Charlotte says to fill in the brown with a pencil and then brush the brow out to create a softer, more natural look.

I love photo 4, the models eyes looks gorgeous and the palette of golds and browns is awesome – love how those colours suit so many people.
I like picture 20! Looks like everyone male/famle, old/young all really enjoyed a night out =)
I like photo 7 because it’s the finished product and her eyes really pop! I like to try and make my eyes stand out and this shows exactly how to do it! I love it! I love her brows too!
The beautifully naked look, to me, is makeup at its best.
Maybelline’s FIT ME foundation is really working its charm here. Model in photo 1 has a glowing, translucent complexion to die for! That’s my favourite shot!
I love photo 6 which shows the makeup artists’ immense concentration behind the scenes and all the makeup kits out!
I like picture 5. The tip about having natural and neutral lips was very helpful. It made me realise that you can just focus on one area of the face. I also really liked picture 7 because the eyebrows are back to being normal size again instead of pencil thin.
Pic 7 is beautiful. The model’s eyes are stunning without looking overly made-up
Photo 4 as the quad is able to create so much definition in the model’s eyes
Picture 6. It looks busy behind the scenes and the makeup artists look like they are loving their job!
Picture 16, I like the way the bright orange pops out of the dark background.
My Favourite is Four, i love the colours being used on her to make her look natural, and her blue eyes stand out!
Picture 7 stands out to me the most. Purely because the look is simple, beautiful and could work with a multitude of fashions. Fantastic look for our upcoming Winter and easily accessable for those of us who aren’t high fashion models.
I like everything about Max Zria. It’s hard to choose just one. I am a subscriber of Beauty Goss. I am a fan of Beauty Goss on Facebook.
