Cynthia Rowley’s Fall 2011 collection that was on show at fashion week is dark and decadent. So Maybelline New York’s global makeup artist Charlotte Willer created the perfect accompanying runway makeup look by focusing on a dark, sexy smoky eye. Charlotte says she drew inspiration from a trendy girl going out for a night on the town. The smoky eye is chocolate brown and bronze with a hint of gold.

- Maybelline New York Dream Smooth Compact Foundation- apply the foundation with your hands like a moisturiser so it acts like a second skin.
- Maybelline New York Volum Express ‘The Falsies’ Mascara- Apply this mascara over and over to create a ‘spikey lash’.
- Maybelline New York Line Stiletto Liquid Eyeliner – Line the entire eye first before any eye shadow is applied.
- Maybelline New York Eye Studio Silk Glam Quad Shadows in Bronze- Use a dark, dark brown over the entire lid and then blend the edges out with a lighter brown. Use a gold shade in the corners to make your eyes pop.
- Maybelline New York Color Sensational Lipstick in Pink Persuasion – dab on the lipstick with your fingers, and then apply a second coat only to the middle of your lips using the actual lipstick.

Photo #3 is my fave.
You can see from the way the light touches her face that the foundation is a nice even formula, not too shiny and not too matte. The finish is smooth and unblemished as well.
I love picture 5,the eye make-up is dramatic and the pop of colour with the lip colour really finishes the look – love the tip about how to apply it by dabbing it on.
I’m loving picture 11 which shows a modern twist with the smokey eye using brown and gold. Very dramatic, her eyes pop and look fierce!
i love pic 4, the makeup is gorgeous!!
I like picture 9 the best. It is so nice seeing the model and make up artist looking so natural and happy. I love the overall look of the lid at this stage, very deep, definitely suits the model.
pic 4 is my favourite. The model’s eyes are enormous and so white and clear. A very cool shot.

Cynthia Rowley and Charlotte Willer look very happy and obviously have style that shows through. They can be proud of their glamor and style comdined.
I like picture 6 because the girls are both so gorgeous but so different, plus it shows some back-stage chaos.
Picture 4 for me… Loving the spiky lashes and the clean fresh look. It looks glamorous but not too much.
