The trend…
Derek Lam described his look for the Fall collection at the 2011 NYFW as ”confident and lovely”. He focused on new fabric combinations that made his clothes look fluid, fresh and weightless. Estée Lauder’s creative makeup director Tom Pechuex created a modern, dramatic metallic eye with a muted lip to complement the collection. He said the silver sleek leaden eye is “hard and strong and plays delicately against Derek’s minimal but sophisticated collection.”
The look…
The tools:
- Bronzer- Do soft contouring under the check bone. Very lightly.
- Eye shadow- Start the eye by using a black shimmery eye shadow and dramatically wing it out towards your temple.
- Pigment- Use a metallic grey pigment to produce the silver foil finish in the centre of the lid.
- Highlighter powder- Finish the eyes with a swipe of highlighting powder on the brow bone.
- Lipstick- Use a matte nude lipstick.
