NZFW Huffer
Possibly one of the most prettiest looks of the week, the look for Huffer was ‘frat girls’. Saucy, innocent but most of all pretty.
To get that young, dewy skin, Amber D from MAC used Studio Sculpt foundation sparingly. To cheeks she applied Peaches blush, sculpt powders and silver dusk iridiscent powder high along the cheek bone.
Eyes were kept to a minimum with Reflects Pearl, Iridiscent Silver Dusk and Chromographic Flesh Tone Pencils. Zoom Black Mascara gave lashes definition.
Lips: Til Tomorrow ProLong Wear lipstick (new and what we predict to be a hot-favourite) and reflects Pearl. Pink without being overbearing.
The hair was gorgeous, think American college sorority girl – simple, disheveled and finished off with an oversized bow.
To get this look Greg Murrell and his team at Ryder Salon straightened hair very loosely using a flat iron (not poker straight), to keep texture and natural movement.
Next they created a soft ponytail effect by using eight hair pins in a vertical row, letting the lower, longer strands naturally fall out. The large, floppy bow was then attached at the neck and hair was set with a liberal spray of KMS California Dry Spray Wax – this gives a lot of hold without too much shine. To finish hair was loosened and moulded to create a soft shape around the face. Models were doused with KMS California Hair-Stay before walking onto the catwalk.
