NZFW11 Stolen Girlfriends Club

The makeup for this show was totally wearable. Keyed by MAC Senior Artist Fatima Thomas the inspiration came from Patrick Nagels illustrations from the ’80s – a flawless, matte complexion with a “slept-in eye”.

Select Cover Up concealor and Careblend Oil were mixed together and blended over the face. Prep & Prime Transparent Finishing Powder was dusted over the face to take away unwanted shine. Plumage Eyeshadow was placed around the eye for messy definition. Zoom Fast Black Lash mascara was applied to uncurled lashes for an intense black lash. Sculpt Sculpting Powder was used to softly contour cheeks.

Fatima said the teal eyeshadow was a fantastic alternative to black. It goes with all eye colours and is just a bit softer, not as harsh as a truly dark black.
