NZFW11 Zambesi

This year at Zambesi, Amber D turned the past two makeup looks on their monochromatic heads and chose vibrant blue eyes paired with rich, ruby-red lips. It looked stunning and complimented the somewhat Sports-Luxe feel the collection had. Neon yellow pieces made their way down the runway, alongside the typical white, grey and blacks that we have come to love and expect from this cult brand. Variations of texture were visible – soft cotton jersey, lace and knitted wools. This was one of my absolute favourite shows from the week.

A bright blue eye might seem only catwalk worthy but the trick to this look is that it is a bit rough around the edges. I’d wear it at night during summer with the blue taken out past the eye.

Products used:

Strobe Liquid – “essential for an amazing creamy, beautiful skin”.

Matchmaster Foundation, Atlantic Blue Eyeshadow and Russian Red Lipstick (a dark burgundy lip pencil was blended in the inner of the lip for depth of colour).

The hair was kinda punk with a fallen over mohawk… lots of gel to give a wet look.
