RAFW Magdalena Velevska
The most intricate style seen on the catwalk was created by non other than our own Richard Kavanagh.
“The hair is inspired by the essence of folky and ethnic craftwork,” he explains. “The idea was to try and reflect the macrame motif in the fabric as well as the highly controlled execution of the cut and drape of the fabric’s Magdalena used.”
Redken Rootful and Forceful were the key products used to create control and shine. The hair was lovingly rope braided in a geometric pattern (similar to macrame).
“To make it modern we put it into a strong V shaped parting in the front. It kind of gives it that futuristic look too.”
AMAZING! This show was one of the most talked about all week.

LOVE LOVE, definitely one I will be trying!
My mum would probably love to try doing this to my hair, she’s obsessed with braiding (and I’m her favourite guinea pig!).
This style also seems to be giving the model a bit of a temporary facelift!
haha i was also noticing the facelift!!!
