Kimi Organic

Come on in and sit down. Because, my gosh, gossies, do I have a story for you today. Let me introduce you to Kimi Organic. Like a lot of small companies, its inception is familiar – mother can’t find what she needs for herself or her children, so creates it. In the case of Kimi Organic, Kim Girbin couldn’t find skincare for her daughter’s sensitive rash and allergy prone skin, so she created her own, with much research, trial and error and, eventually, the help of an Australian skincare manufacturer.
In a coincidental turn of events, I recently developed a strange rash on my neck, chin and forehead, due to an allergy to substances unknown. (Seriously unknown – my skincare hadn’t changed, neither had my diet.) I’d been given the Kimi Organic face wash and face lotion to try, and based on its back story, thought it could help my traumatised skin.
And holy moly, I was right. After the first night’s use, my skin was 50% better the next day. After a week of continuous use, my skin is almost back to normal. Except…it’s better than normal. While the Kimi products helped clear up my redness, itching and rash, it left my skin calm, and smooth, and taut, and glowy, and all those other skin-related superlatives.
The face wash was a revelation – it’s creamy but not heavy, removes all my makeup, and rinses clean without leaving a greasy residue. And the lotion? It absorbs quickly and leaves skin feeling taut, but not tight, and makes a perfect base for make-up. And in case you weren’t entirely convinced by its virtues, it’s also organic (no, really Kate?), vegan, full of antioxidants and free from parabens and other harmful chemicals. It’s also very reasonably priced given the quality of it’s ingredients.
It’s a rarity to find natural, organic skincare that works as well as Kimi Organic. My regime has consisted of just the wash and lotion every day, and my newly calm, glowing skin is so in love with it that I’ll be continuing to use it long after my strange rash has disappeared. Hmm. And I’m sure that’s just the kind of recommendation they’re looking for.
