Luscious Lashes by Talika
Meet Sina Deubner, Asia Pacific Marketing Manager for Talika and check out those lashes! Seriously, they are long and luscious with a bit of a curl. While she was introducing us to this gorgeous new range, I couldn’t help but wonder if they were real or just very finely placed falsies.
Turns out they are real – Sina has been using Talika’s cult product, Lipocil Expert, $78; and says her lashes have never been better. She doesn’t even curl them, although if she did she would use Talika’s Heated Eyelash Curler, $64, which is the same temperature as our body and won’t burn skin or hair.
Like many great discoveries, Lipocils Expert was found by accident – a by-product from a plant based anti-bacterial cream used to treat face and eye burns casualties of WW11 in Parisian hospitals. It was developed in 1948 by Dr Danielle Roches, who observed that her cream not only healed wounds but also had significant eyelash growth. It’s an easy to use product with a sponge applicator that also has the benefits of not damaging eye colour nor will it make random little hairs grow unwanted on areas near the lashline. It is the very first lash stimulating formula.
Talika is an interesting brand, with only a select few products addressing eyes, face, hand and nail concerns it combines science and technology to deliver outstanding results. All tests are conducted at Salpetriere Hospital in Paris, France.
Take the three eye treatment products: The Eye Dream, Eye Decompress and Eye Therapy Patch – the latter is based on what post surgery patients are given to help recover. They are all packed with active peptides and will reduce the sight of fine lines after continued use for a month.
One of my favourite products we got to trial was the Hand Moisturising Glove, $168 – a mitt infused with a gel-like substance that slowly releases hydrating goodness over 30 minutes. After removing my hand it was much softer than the other and stayed hydrated all day. It also actives to reduce the sight of dark spots and sun damage. Consider it your at-home paraffin treatment… divine.
Talika has been available overseas for sometime but has just been snapped up by Mecca Cosmetica. It’s a new brand to the stable worth checking out.
