OPI heads to spain
This dark and sultry nail collection is perfect for the Northern Hemisphere’s winter but not so timely for our spring and summer. Unless you pick the beige or bright shades and forget about the dark blacks and purples. Or you could just think, ‘stuff the season, i’m wearing dark anyway’.
There’s really no need to be hasty and pull out the pastels, given that our summer is usually slow off the mark and doesn’t heat up for another five months. Sigh. Just when we were getting excited about these sunny spring days, reality sets in and another cold front lashes us with a reminder that it ain’t time to unpack the sundresses yet. Keep those leggings on standby for the days the mercury dips. Keep chucking that cardigan and leather bomber in the bag for the afternoon when the weather turns schizo and chilly.
Keep painting your nails dark until Xmas. Or January or for however long it takes you to get brown hands (sooner if you use a bottle, which I heartily recommend). Bright orange, lilac, yellow, GREEN… look so much better next to lightly bronzed skin. Sorry, but it’s true.
Talking about green nailpolish (the new IT colour by the way) the OPI Espana collection has a darky, moody green called Here Today… Aragon Tomorrow. It’s pretty cool. Like all OPI collections the names of each polish reflect the theme perfectly. The Spanish Collection consists of: Pink Flamingo (hot pink) – Wearing it today and loving it!, Give Me Moor (wine/purple), Can You Tapas This? (raisin), Barefoot In Barcelona (beige), Suzi Skis In The Pyrenees (deep blue grey), Ate Berries In the Canaries (fuschia), Pamplona Purple (purple of course), No Spain, No Gain (berry), Bullish on OPI (red- orangey red), Conquistadorable Color (blue red), Manicurist of Seville (sangria type shade).
Which one tickles your fancy – and why? Write a comment below and if I’ve got it… you might find it heading your way!
