Stunning actress Julia Roberts lends her pretty face to Lancome – her first advertisement is for Lancome’s newest mascara Precious Cells.

Like all Lancome mascaras (I am a HUGE fan) this one doesn’t disappoint. It’s got a good round brush, slightly tapered to deliver a smooth amount of product over lashes with a little more at the outer ends.

What is most interesting is that this humble tube of mascara doubles as a thickener and lash stimulant. It’s patented Lash Densifier Complex stimulates stem cells at the base of eyelashes to strengthen new lashes but also to protect older ones ready to fall out. It contains an ingredient called Madecassoside found in some anti hair loss products and Argine, a restorative amino acid.

Have I lost you with all that technical jargon? Did you roll your eyes at the claims?

Well the thing is that I’ve been using this product for two weeks now (and rubbing my eyes mercilessly at 10pm when I’m still staring at my computer screen) and I have definitely experienced less lash loss than usual. I used to frequently find them on my cotton wool pads after cleansing.

Plus I’ve also noticed that my lashes look fuller and fatter after using this mascara and that’s enough to make me want to buy it again and again.

Trust me – this is a goodie. It’s either on counter now, or very soon and will retail for about $65.
