Tough Talons

You know a nail polish is as tough as nails when it lasts over a week and doesn’t chip.

We had the pleasure of road-testing the new Revitanail colours after a delicious pedicure at Auckland Spa. The new range of 12 classic (yet modern) colours complements the popular nail treatment products including the iconic Nail Strengthener. While Dr LeWinn’s insist they are not straying from their core business of nail treatment products, they decided to release colours infused with nail strengthening properties (diamond dust, pearl extract and bamboo derived silica) because they saw a gap in the market. The colours were chosen thoughtfully – at this stage they have no plans to release new collections per season.

Our favourite for summer was Coral Cascade (shown above) and during winter we’ll be flitting between the dark Port Wine and the light Barely There.

While we love this product our only gripe is with the brush – such strong and thick bristles means you have to let the first coat dry completely before applying the second or it removes some of the polish as it applies, very frustrating when you’re rushing out the door. However it is a fast-drying formula so doesn’t actually take too long (clearly we have the patience of a gnat).
