WIN Great Skin
Noticed that your hair isn’t as frizzy as it was a month ago? Thanks to Summer strolling out the door and heading up north, the humidity levels have dropped. Thank goodness! With my affro-prone locks sucking up as much moisture as possible, keeping a sleek hair style can be quite a task.
One thing I haven’t enjoyed though, is getting dry skin. How are your hands? Lips? Legs? Getting a bit flakey? Is your skin feeling a bit more sensitive and unable to cope with the change in climate?
Help is at hand… Trilogy’s Sensitive Skin range launched last year and has become a steady favourite for those who need a bit of skin soothing. There are three products in the range – Very Gentle Cleansing Cream, $41.90; Very Gentle Calming Fluid, $44.90; and Very Gentle Moisturising Cream, $47.90. They all contain varying amounts of calendula, chamomile, evening primrose, marshmellow and olive and avocado oils – all of which are commonly prescribed to troubled skin.
In fact, at a dermalogical testing with 50 study participants all of them found the products non-aggravating and recorded no adverse reaction of any kind.
We have some Trilogy Sensitive products to give away. First prize wins the complete range (worth $134.70) and ten runners up will get the hero product – the Very Gentle Calming Fluid, $44.90. All you have to do is write below and tell us how your skin is at the moment. I’ll start with mine…
At the moment my skin is losing some of the colour it got in summer. I never let my face get tanned (but it inevitably does) yet I’ve still noticed my foundation is almost too dark for me right now. My hands and legs are getting dry – I guess because my showers are getting hotter? And for some reason I have a few breakouts. Possibly because of that Easter egg stash I’ve started to plough through.
Winners will be drawn on Tuesday 26th April.

My skin always has a tendency to be dry in any season, but as soon as it starts to get cooler it gets worse, with the wind, and fan heating, it makes my skin look awful. As well as it being dry, ive had awful breakouts everywhere, with very noticable inflammation which i dont really get in warmer months.
My skin is quite red and dry and patchy at the moment – I think due to hotter and hotter showers and less time for moisturising with a little one! I am still putting sun cream on my face while out walking but all it does is make me break out in pimples – so attractive….
I have noticed my skin is a bit patchy at the moment, I have a few little spots on my chin and t zone. Also in these areas I have red blemishes which I have never got before, maybe from a new foundation.
Sounds like my skin is also sounding just like everyone else! Dry, a bit red and patchy and in need of more moisture than my current moisturiser is giving me
Trying to drink more water and tea to replenish the lost moisture!
My skin is combination but in winter with the change from cold outside to warm inside plays havoc with my skin and it gets really dry
I have also noticed my hands being drier than normal. It’s probably caused by constantly washing my hands and not always having the time to follow up with moisturiser.
Right now my skin is looking fairer as the sun goes into hiding, and rather pink and dry, which I suspect is aggravated by the increase in indoor heating during these cold months. I’ve been mercilessly bombarding my skin with anti-acne products as I try to recover from the monthly breakout (though by the time it goes away, the next one is only about a week on the horizon!) and it’s really starting to show with flaky dryness. I’m going to try to turn to a more natural solution for a while: bring on the green tea and essential oils!
Lots of people tell me I have great skin, but I always have beauty therapists tell me I am dehydrated, with lots of small deep blocked pores. The change in weather is making my skin feel tighter and in need of moisturiser. My hands are shockingly dry, and my left foot wrinkling up from being in a moonboot for 5 weeks (sympathy factor
) Bought EPO capsules today in the hope that helps.
My skin is so dry and flakey right now
gross lol! It gets so much worse though if I dont moisturise immediately after a shower. Crocodile skin anyone!!
My skin is quite good at the moment, only a couple of little pimples and my dry patches are really small at the moment. Pretty sure the cold Wellington winter wind is going to ruin all that though! I love ‘Trilogy’ – I’m allergic to parabens and it’s one of the very few brands that is paraben free! <3
My skin is dry, flaky and even more irritable than normal. It’s driving me insane! I have dry, sensitive skin and am prone to eczema and spring allergies so the change of season really affects me.
I’m half polynesian so I still have my summer colour (YAY!) although this will inevitably fade too. Happily, my darker skin is hiding all my problem areas. Except my puffy eyes, but that’s why we have cucumber slices.
Right now my skin feels dry and tight. It always does that when the cooler weather is around. I have noticed my pores are getting more visible and so does my lines!
breakouts, dry patches & and a few new wrinkles. It’s best not to look in the mirror…
my skin has become dry coming into winter…I usually go from oily to dry – I need to find the inbetween somehow!
My face is quite dry I moisturise daily, I wash my face daily, My face also gets oily so its a mixture which I hate!! After I have a shower I find my face very dry and tight and even though I wash my face twice a day I still get breakouts ahhhh its horrible!!! I also have sensitive skin which is even worse so I have to watch what products I use,but nothing seems to work, I also have red patchy skin and after this summer getting burnt and tanned up my face is patchy and has darker shades and lighter shades all over and having a low budget finding something that works is hard !! HELP!!!!
