When I put blonde streaks through my hair and it went soooo dry and split, I have really fine hair so this was definitely not the thing to do!!!!
I had dyed it to much and it was all fluffy and dry i looked like a moggy cat lol!!!
My hair is probably in it’s worst condition now as it has ever been. Having to wash it after every gym session it now hangs straight and limp and lifeless
Id had my hair done into tiny braids whilst on hols in Phuket when I was 10 or 11. The thing was, I refused to wash my hair cos I didnt want the braids to get messy.
Many sandy days later, I had natural wiry dreadlocks, and a painful time of “straightening things out.”
After swimming in pools for so many years, the chlorine has messed with my hair so badly. Split ends, dry, limp and yuck
Every Nor’wester my hair gets totally unmanageablle!!
I once reaaally wanted long hair so didn’t cut it for about a year and a half… pretty much every strand of hair turned into a split end
Once I had my hair razor cut. I had long silky hair and after years of putting it off, had decided to have a change – something shorter and more modern. Stupidly, I went to a ‘unknown’ hairdresser who literally attacked my hair cutting it obscenely short. The noise of the razor as really scary but she kept telling me my hair would look awesome. However, when I looked in the mirror once she had finished and dried my hair, I saw that my head looked like a ball of frizzy split ends. I was incredibly upset and have cut my own hair ever since.
I spent months in Form 2 begging my mum to let me get my hair spiral permed (this is 1991). She finally agreed and my ‘past my bum’ length blonde hair was turned into a cascade of curls. Which looked great for about 2 days. I wouldn’t let mum comb it as I didn’t want the curls to go fluffy etc – I ended up with a matted mess at the base of my neck (luckily under the top layer so you couldn’t see it). It lasted a few months till mum put her foot down and had it all cut off – I went from hair I could sit on to hair that was up to my ears
and beacuse of my natural wave/thickness closely resembled a small pyrimid which was dry and frizzy thanks to teh chemicals and last remenants of the perm. This was the week before I started high school – complete disaster.
I got a bad extension job and when I got the hair removed my hair was a tangled mess! It took two hairdressers working back and forth for six whole hours to get done with my hair. Not to mention the entire time I was dehydrated and in pain from them tugging and pulling at my head for hours and hours. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!
An over-processed salon perm left me with superficial burns along my hair line and looking like a sheep pulled through a hedge backwards. As if that wasn’t bad enough, my hair began breaking off just above scalp level! All this after I’d expressly warned them about my sensitive skin and fine hair which grabs chemicals! Only time I’ve cried about my appearance.
the worst conditioner i have used is a hot oil treatment. it dried my hair out and i had to leave a herbal essences conditioner on my hair overnight. i have bleached blonde hair so my hair is really dry and ive tried this before and it really works miracles.
