My job at MTV is always pretty spontaneous – with MTV News, Voice Overs, Interviews and trips overseas you really never know whats around the corner .. Which keeps me on my toes and inspired.
What are your New Year beauty resolutions? To always wear sunblock on my face and neck when I’m out and about. Boring but it’s a goodun!
What’s your usual daily makeup routine? Cleanse, tone, Moisturize, Tinted sunblock, blush, lippy and most days mascara.
Does it take you long to get ready? Not so much my makeup but if I don’t know what I’m wearing… well that can be a bit of a hold up, to put it lightly.
What would you do if you had more time to get ready? For some reason when I’m rushing, I think it’s a great chance to try a new makeup look.. Hmm… not good when you don’t have much time up your sleeve, can be potentially disastrous!
What’s your favourite evening look right now? I’m a huge fan of the black eyeliner flick and using cream shadow and blush, I thnk it makes you look super fresh and glam – and hell yea i’m giving it a go!
Are you an eyes or lips girl? Hmm, I choose both, but not at the same time… it depends on my mood.
Favourite nail polish colour? Almost any pastel matt colour… I’m in to it.
Long nails? Or short? Short.
What’s the one beauty product you’ve used for years and can’t give up? M.A.C’s bronzing powder
What are you searching for? I have been searching for the ultimate tinted moisturizer with just the right coverage, colour, hydration and SPF 30 – I think I just found it, hurrah! It’s made by ‘Hissyfit’.
Which fragrance/s are you wearing and why? (Well until I lost it last weekend) I was dedicated to Beach by BobbiBrown, I just love it.. It’s all the best things about summer in a bottle.
What beauty faux pas are you always committing – even though you know you shouldn’t? Well I’m guilty of putting lippy on at the table – apparently whether you’re at a restaurant or at home, this is a faux pas, my mum always gives me the eye.
Best beauty advice you’ve ever read/heard? Drink water, sleep well and if you’re going out don’t drink too much before you do your makeup – it doesn’t often translate well.
If you could turn back time, which hair/makeup disaster would you avoid making? I matched my eye shadow to my metallic green dress for my high school ball .. hmm, not cute.
What advice would you tell the younger you? To be honest I love to encourage creativity and I’m glad I experimented when I was young – better then than now. So no, I’ll go down the path of No Regrets.
What trend are you considering trying…?
I’m very inspired by Rihanna and Lady Gaga…. So who knows, I like to think slightly outside the box.
