Beauty Spot: Angelina Farry

angelinaAngelina has left the world of advertising (Group Account director at Saatchi & Saatchi) to join Angelique Fris-Taylor at Fresh PR. Fresh PR started with predominantly hair brands and now includes skincare like Dermalogica and Dr Lewinns. Angelina is a sriking beauty, she’s tall with porcelain skin and a healthy (read glossy) mane of hair. We ask her what her secrets are:

What’s your earliest makeup memory?

Badly applied blue eye shadow and far too much rouge – but I thought I looked fabulous at the age of 5.

What was your first perfume? Elizabeth Arden Red Door, for Christmas from a lovely aunty.

Now, do you have a signature scent?

Armani Code is my signature scent and I use Dior Poison, but more for evenings.

Describe your everyday makeup look and what products you use:

I try to go for a natural healthy look, so not overly made up. Smashbox Clear Photo Finish Primer and then Smashbox High Definition Healthy FX Foundation. Photo Op Undereye Lightener is superb, if you’re tired it gives your under eye area a really good lift. Smashbox Halo Mineral Powder with a bit of Mac blush cream and Chanel mascara and a natural/nude lip-gloss.

How do you change this for night? I go for a darker smoky look with my eye shadow and liners.

What was the last item of makeup you bought?

Smashbox Limitless Long Wear Lip Gloss.

What’s on your shopping list to get?

Smashbox Clear Photo Finish Primer – I’m addicted, it makes your make up last forever.

Biggest hair/makeup disaster you’ve had? A bad punk phase, my hair was short and supposed to be black, but it got coloured and went blue black. Hideous!

What are your thoughts on cosmetic surgery – would you? Have you? Not yet, but I can definitely see the benefits.

What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about the industry? The amount of science and research that actually goes into some of the products.

Best beauty discovery? Smashbox Clear Photo Finish Primer, your makeup lasts and lasts. Perfect for when you need to go out straight from work.

Ultimate indulgence is? A facial.

What advice would you tell the younger you if you could go back in time? Wear a really good SPF 30 sunscreen every single day.
