One of the people I follow on Twitter is Joe Zee – Creative Director of US Elle Magazine. One of his tweets today said: ‘Cute braid on Alicia Keys, sexy braid on JLo. And major braids at Alex Wang yesterday. Twice is a coincidence. Three times is a trend. Love!’

Here it is – the braid/plait at Alexander Wang. Looks gorgeous! I love how from the top it looks like it’s going to be just another side swept long look until you get to the neck where it tapers off into a plait. Clearly each model wore extentions to get the desired length, but it’s still a look that’s easy to achieve yourself. Just don’t start plaiting the hair too high up and don’t worry about making it too neat on the crown of the head. The messier, the better. It’s a look I’ve been trying out myself now that my hair is long enough. Give it a go! What do you think? Are you loving this look or not?
