forever friday: KILLER HEELS

It’s black Friday and what better to celebrate with than a pair of killer heels. That are conveniently black. Shiny black – patent leather with flashes of red.

These limited edition heels come courtesy of Maybelline New York Lash Stiletto and New Zealand shoe designer Kathryn Wilson. It’s the first time the cosmetic company has collaborated for a product launch and haven’t they done well?

There are only 100 pairs of these shoes made – with 40 for sale (the rest went to lucky VIPs like yours truly so when you buy you KNOW you’re in good company), each box is marked with a number out of a hundred – one day these could become collectors pieces.

If you haven’t already adorned your feet in Kathryn Wilson shoes let me tell you why you should. Firstly they are made beautifully – she is something of a perfectionist and every detail is considered. Secondly – they are comfortable – while these look quite high, I can assure you they are a not instep shattering. But mostly, you should buy because they look cool and who wouldn’t want to support a New Zealand designer?

These shoes are a must for anyone who liked the YSL cage shoes – the best bit is that they are in limited supply. So if you get in quick (they will appear for sale on www.kathrynwilson.com from 14 November 2009), you can beat your pals to them. Which is perfect for those who inwardly seethe when others turn up wearing the same thing. Makes you want to kick them doesn’t it?
