Notes from LA…snuggies….
Its always hard to know where to begin.
I have so many beginnings, new beginnings in my relatively new life here in LA.
Thus I ponder LA, and the bigger picture, the USA.
Land of opportunity.
I wanted to establish my place and introduce you to my life – my LA life.
There are the people, there are products, there are places . . . . and then there is Snuggies.
Snuggies entered the US about the same time we landed in LA.
It is, in essence, Polar Fleece (I kid you not), a blanket, but with the addition of sleeves.
I mean, lets be clear, its not rocket science, its not even aesthetic.
It doesn’t come in black and its not even sized – one size fits all. What were they thinking?
If that, is quite simply not enough to turn your stomach, perhaps the fact that over 4 milllion have been sold, may, just infact tip you.
This is my reality . . . snuggies and their huge success.
So as I contemplate my immigration to this place for the better good of our careers and family I am drowned with the ever present Snuggie and its hold on this nation.
Do I ask myself what I’m doing here? Yes.
Do I ponder the power of “The Snuggie”? Yes.
Would I buy one? No.
But, 4 million other American’s disagree.
