Ritual for a Cure

After all, most facials, manicures, hair treatments, face treatments, etc etc are completely self serving. They make US feel better (but we might justify them as being easier on the eye for loved ones too).

To combat this right-wrong tug of war we might experience when considering whether or not to blow a heap of cash on ourselves is the Ritual for a Cure, a longstanding collaboration between Rodney Wayne and Kerastase to raise money for Breast Cancer.

This year, musician Hollie Smith is joining the cause making that $80-$98 spent go that much further. When you buy one of the Home Care cure packs you will receive Hollie’s latest album, Humour and the Misfortune of Others. Those who experience an in-salon Ritual Cure consisting of a ritual and blow-dry also contribute $5 to the Trust as part of the cost.

The special ritual and blow-dry Ritual Cure package (RRP$60.00 excluding GHDs) involves a Rodney Wayne stylist diagnosing each client’s scalp and hair needs then prescribing a personalised Ritual for a Cure. The Ritual involves double cleansing of the hair with a wonderfully relaxing massage, followed by an exclusive in salon treatment which is milked into the hair to treat it from root to tip. The Ritual is then completed with the blow-dry.

You walk out with a lighter pocket and a happy head of hair. Knowing that you’ve done it for charity makes it that much more worth while.

And who doesn’t freakin love Kerastase?
