Tom Pecheux for Estee Lauder

Estee Lauder has just signed esteemed makeup artist Tom Pecheux as its Creative Makeup Director.

Tom’s first range is the Spring 2010 collection which will, ‘add a new energy, style and fashion edge to Estee Lauder makeup,’ explains Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Global Brand President, Estee Lauder. ‘His intuitive sense of colour and expertise in global beauty trends will help us redefine modern colour in a bold new way.’

Tom’s career began 30 years ago assisting Linda Cantello but it wasn’t until the beginning of the ’90s and through his collaborations with Mario Testino and Carine Roitfeld that he really stood out. Since then he’s worked with the world’s best fashion photographers including Patrick Dermarchelier, Peter Lindbergh and Inez Van Lamsweerde and crafted catwalk looks for the likes of Marni, Ralph Lauren, Derek Lam, Balmain, YSL and Jean-Paul Gaultier.

His signature style is rather simple – he believes that makeup should flatter rather than conceal or flourish.

He will work with Estee Lauder model Hilary Rhoda… we can’t wait to see what this new beauty relationship will bring!
