Your summer essentials: Celine Rita
Here’s the first in a series of posts for Beauty Goss where we ask influential people in the fashion and beauty industry for their summer essentials! We take an inside look into their wardrobes and make-up bags to find their top five favourites items for the summer season!
Celine Rita is one of New Zealand’s hottest young designers. She’s has a strong following here in NZ and a growing fan base overseas with Celine’s collections being described as ‘the girl next door who’s not afraid to stand out.’ She stunned onlookers at her New Zealand Fashion Week debut this year and has recently opened a store on Newton Rd. So you can be assured this girl knows her stuff!
What do you love about summer?
I love everything about summer- probably a typical kiwi girl! Love spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, BBQ’s, Race Days and just relaxing in the sun!
What are your plans for the summer holidays this year?
My plans for summer are to get away to Waiheke for NYE, going there for 4-5 days. Then afterwards to get around as many Coromandel beaches possible, mainly staying at Matarangi where I have gone with my family forever. My favourite beach, best memories!
What are five summer essentials to have in your wardrobe this summer?
1. Jandals- Can’t beat Havaiana’s! I often go for white, which is stupid really cause they get dirty so quickly.
2. ‘Paris Shorts’ – From my Summer Range, Madeline. I am already living in them! So comfy and practical, but they look cool!
3. ‘Nona Lace Skirt’- Also from the Summer Range. I could wear it to a BBQ with jandals or the races with heels. Love it!
4. Wide Brim Grey Hat from my Fashion Week Range. I couldn’t wait for summer to wear it!
5. Sunnies- one pair of Ray Bans, one pair of aviators.
What are five essentials to have in your make-up bag this summer?
1. Sunblock- It’s literally impossible to look good with sunburn!
2. Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream for my lips
3. MAC Face and Body Foundation- it’s so light and perfect for summer. It feels/looks like you are wearing no make-up at all.
4. Cetaphil- cleanser and moisturiser
5. Nail polish- The ORLY mini nail polishes! At the moment I love the lilac purple colour. So many fun colours for summer.
